Anne A. Pelton (nee Mager), 87, Cake Decorator

Photo of Anne A.  Pelton (nee Mager) Anne A. Pelton (nee Mager), 87, a resident of Lorain since childhood, died Sunday February 12, 2012 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain. She was born June 10, 1924 in Keisterville PA.

Anne graduated form the former Lorain High School with the class of 1943-B. She worked at National Tube in Lorain from 1943-1956 and then attended Remington College in Cleveland for keypunching. She left to be a keypunch operator for Campus Clothing in Cleveland, then at AMSHIP in Lorain for 10 years, then Sealtest Foods in Rocky River and finally U.S. Steel in Lorain, where she retired as head keypuncher in 1989 after 25 years of service.

She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain, its Altar & Rosary Society, and the Slovak Catholic Sokols, Wr. 111. Anne was a member of Union Local #2354 of Clerical Workers. Her interests included cake decorating, especially wedding and birthday cakes, antiques, and baking. She attended classes in making ceramic and lace dolls.

Anne is survived by her son Paul D. Pelton of Lorain, grandsons Paul, Anthony, and David Pelton, four great grandchildren and sister Mary Garwell of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Sophie (nee Mudri) Mager, brothers George Mager, Joseph Mager, John Mager, and Paul Mager, and sisters Sophie Kintler and Elizabeth Reuber.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 until 4:00 pm and 6:00 until 8:00 pm in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain, where the rosary will be recited Tuesday at 3:00 pm by members of the Holy Trinity Altar and Rosary Society. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church, 310 8th St., Lorain. The Rev. Daniel Divis, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
