Mary E. Waldorf, 90, Former Salvation Army Clerk

Photo of Mary E.  Waldorf Mary E. Waldorf (nee Neer), 90, of Sheffield Lake passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at her home after a long illness.

She was born August 31, 1921 in New Paris, the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna H. (nee Mauer) Neer. She was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Lorain.

She worked at as a clerk at the Salvation Army in Cleveland, Park Hotel on Put in Bay, Big Town Discount Store, W.T. Grant and Niesner's Five & Dime. Mary enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, sewing, and reading.

She is survived by her daughters Janet Dulaney of Sheffield Lake, Arlene
(John) Chedester of Alderson, W.V, seven grandchildren, fourteen great
grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, sister Pat Bailey of Glen Burnie, MD, and Elaine (Chuck) Holmer of Bellvue.

In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her husband of 46
years Arnold L. Waldorf in 1987, son Richard J. Waldorf in 1977, brothers
Mitchell Neer, Roger Neer, Adin Neer, sisters Marjorie Johnson and Betty
Smith.

Friends may call on Monday, Feb 20, 2012 from 10:00 am until services at
1:00 p.m. in the New Apostolic Church, 3928 Leavitt Road, Lorain, with
Evangelist Adam Welch, officiating.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
