Giuseppi Falbo, 98, World War II Veteran

He was born in Pianette, Italy on June 17, 1913; a World War II veteran of the Italian Army, Mr. Falbo was a long-time parishioner of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain.
Giuseppi was formerly employed by the Falbo Construction Company and subsequently retired from Lorain Products.
In his free time he loved tending to his fig trees. Additional interests included gardening and cooking.
Survivors include his daughters Elvira Pecora (Mario) of Italy, Rita Hiser (Bob) and Fran Claus (Bill) both of Lorain, along with Iolanda Andulics (Joe) residing in North Ridgeville. He also leaves eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Giuseppi was preceded in death by his loving wife Marianna in 2003, by his daughter Fiorina, by his parents Pasquale and Teresa (nee Pecora) Falbo, along with four brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
Funeral services will be Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral chapel; a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 in the Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Craig Hovanec, Pastor of the parish, will be the celebrant.
Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
