Charles H. Morsher, 86, US Navy Veteran
Born in Cleveland, he was a resident of North Ridgeville since 1950 moving from S. Amherst.
Charles served in the US Navy during WWII.
He worked for Ohio Edison for 46 years, retiring as a Meter Supervisor, in 1992. He was the first Electrical Inspector for the city of North Ridgeville. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Union.
He was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville where he was involved with many church activities for many years including the Fun Fest, Holy Name Society and also helped to start BINGO, where he worked as a caller. He was also a life member of the VFW Post 9871, North Ridgeville.
He enjoyed restoring classic cars and bowling.
Survivors include his daughter, Gayle Bangs, of North Ridgeville; sons, Richard (Maria) Morsher of Lorain, Tim (Connie) Morsher of Norwalk, Chuck (Linda) Morsher of Bellevue; grandchildren, Stacey Bangs, Kristie, Amanda, Joseph and Stephen Morsher; great-granddaughter, Eryan Bangs.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Coletta (nee Frank); parents, John and Julia Morscher; sister, Sophie Taddeo; brothers, Frank Moesher and John Morsher; foster parents, Frank and Agnes Manary.
Friends may call Friday from 5-8 PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM. A 10 AM Mass will follow at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, 44039. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery where VFW Post 9871 will conduct full military honors.
