Catherine Kaurich (nee Cichocki), 93, Avid Volunteerer

Mrs. Kaurich was born in Cleveland on October 19, 1918 and had been a resident of Lorain for many years.

She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Cleveland and was formerly employed as a tool room clerk for the White Motor Company also in Cleveland.

She attended St. Vitus Catholic Church in Lorain and was a member and past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of Louis Paul Proy Chapter # 20 of the Disabled American Veterans.

Catherine had also been a long-time volunteer at the Brecksville Veterans Hospital as well as the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.

She is survived by her first cousins Ann residing in Michigan and Marilyn residing in Arizona, along with numerous other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Steve A. Kaurich, by her parents Michael and Anna (nee Metik) Cichocki, by a brother Emil Cichocki, and by a sister Pauline Cichocki.

Friends may call Friday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12:00 noon in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend John C. Retar, Pastor of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Louis Paul Proy Chapter # 20 of the Disabled American Veterans.
