Judy Vance (nee Combs), 62, Avid Bird Watcher
Judy F. Vance (nee Combs), 62, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on Friday April 27, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a brief illnessShe was born May 13, 1949 in Hazard, Kentucky and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Judy was a 1967 graduate of Clearview High School. She worked as a cashier at several pharmacies in the Lorain area.
Judy loved to watch birds, crochet and take care of her plants.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years Bennie Vance, daughter Rebecca Cain (Kevin) of Lorain, grandchildren Tiffany and Heather Cain and great grandchildren Jaelen and O’Rion Toomer and sisters Susan Shaw of Lorain, Brenda Costello (Roy) of Vermilion and Carolyn Franklin of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her daughter Molly Kaszmetskie, father Shelby Combs in 1996 and mother Mary Combs (nee Lumpkins) in 2008.
The family will receive friends Monday 2-4, 7-9 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev. James Justice will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
