Myra Krafcik (nee Marinik), 78, Former Administrative Assistant for Lorain City Schools

She was born July 9, 1933 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Myra graduated from Lorain High School in 1951 and attended Bowling Green State University where she studied secretarial science.
Myra worked for Lorain City Schools as an Administrative Assistant at Homewood School and in the Lorain School Administrative Building retiring after 20 years.
She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain where she helped count the collections after mass, a member of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain, St. Ann’s Lodge Br #114, Holy Trinity Rosary Society and the Slovak Catholic Sokols.
Myra enjoyed sewing and casino trips.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Raymond J. Krafcik, children David Krafcik and Raymond M. Krafcik, both of Lorain, John (Faye) Krafcik of Parma and Diane (Jim) Carter of Wadsworth, grandchildren Joshua Krafcik, Sarah (Richard) Schaffer, Jennifer Krafcik, Matthew Krafcik, Caitlyn Carter, Nicholas Carter, Lizabeth Carter, Anastasia Krafcik, Alexander Krafcik and Aaron Krafcik, great grandchildren Reagan and Aiden Schaffer and Wes and Ethan Krafcik. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Anne Marinik (nee Ivan) and brother Aloysius Marinik.
The family will receive friends Sunday 5-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain where the Holy Trinity Rosary Society will recite the rosary prayer at 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Gerald J. Keller will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
