Diana C. Fries (nee Vargo), 66, Seamstress & Costume Designer

She was born May 18, 1946 in Lorain and had resided in Lorain most of her life. As a young child, she lived in San Diego, California.

Diana graduated from Lorain High School in 1964. She worked as a seamstress and costume designer for theater and dance. She was in charge of the Lorain County Community College costume department for 10 years and the Great Lakes Theatre Festival costume shop for 12 years.

Diana was a very talented artist and seamstress who enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, bicycle riding, going to the movies, visiting Walt Disney World, sewing and boating.

She is survived by her sons Thomas A. (Kelly) Fries of Elyria, James R. (Irene) Fries of Sheffield Village and Christopher J. Fries of Lorain and grandchildren Zoe, Zack and Daniel Fries. She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Bertha Vargo (nee Papp).

Cremation will take place and private family services will be held.
