Anna Katherine Galvan, 74, Enjoyed Spending Time with her Grandchildren

She was born November 18, 1937 in Fairmont, WV to her loving parents, John J and Katherine Louise (nee Johnson) Stafford.

She worked and managed the Liedertafel and managed fish-fry’s at Imperial Café. Anna enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, gambling, gardening, the NY Yankees, her dog, Cody and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Harry B. Galvan Jr, Bob (Cathy) Galvan, Barb (Victor-fiance) Galvan, Bernice Galvan, John (Pam-companion) Galvan, Faith Galvan Kuhn and Angela Frye all of Lorain; brother, Clarence W. “John” (Jean) Stafford; 21 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren;

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Katherine Louise Cavallo; brother, John J “Red” Stafford; step-father, Nathaniel D. Lake; and great-grandson, Andrew Michael Hammond

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH (440) 244-1961 on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 20, 2012, Fr. John Retar, officiating. Interment Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
