Mary J. Squires, 82, Enjoyed Reading, Crocheting & Knitting

Photo of Mary J.  Squires Mary J. Squires (nee Kovalick), 82, of Lorain, died Monday July 30, 2012 at the Kingston of Vermilion of complications from Parkinson’s disease.

She was born January 10, 1930 in Clearfield, PA and had resided in Lorain for the past 63 years.

Mary worked as a secretary for Attorneys Lon and Charles Adams in Lorain and for the law firm of Cook & Batista in Lorain. Later, she worked in the Mortgage Department at the former Central Trust in Lorain before retiring.

Mary was a member of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and knitting.

She is survived by her husband Thomas A. Squires to whom she would be celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary on August 1st, daughter Wendy (Larry) Cambarare of LaGrange, granddaughter Lauren E. Cambarare of LaGrange and sister Lena (Louis) Gormand of Frenchville, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents Steven and Lena Kovalick (nee Coudriet) and brother Steven Kovalick.

The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor of the Church of St. Peter, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
