Carmen M. Martinez, 45, Loving Mother & Homemaker

She was born April 14, 1967 in Manhattan, New York. She moved to Lorain in 1998.

She was a homemaker and mother. She attended the House of Praise International Church Lorain. She enjoyed collecting angel and elephant figurines.

She will be missed by her daughters Carmen McLucas of Maryville, Indiana and Jennifer Vargas of Lorain; sons Angel Vargas of Lexington, Kentucky, Felix Ortiz and Daniel Martinez both of Lorain; her mother Carmen Ortiz of Lorain; brothers Wilfredo Ortiz and Kenneth Reyes both of Lorain and Keith Reyes of Brookline, New York; sisters Daisy Ramos and Teresita Perez both of Lorain; and 7 Grand Children of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her fathers Wilfredo Ortiz and Felix Rodriguez and grandsons Isaiah and Xavier Vargas and Felix Ortiz, Jr.

Her family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 8 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 east 31 St Street, South Lorain, (440 ) 277-8164, where closing prayers will be Saturday at 8:45 then Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Father William A. Thaden pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
