Martha H. Tylka, 89, Enjoyed Cooking & Sewing

Martha H. Tylka (nee Jaworski), 89, of Lorain, died Thursday August 2, 2012 at the Hospice of the Western Reserve’s Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake after a short illness.

She was born June 10, 1923 in Mt Pleasant, PA and had resided in the Lorain area since 1946.

Martha was a member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Lorain and the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed cooking and sewing.

She is survived by her children Richard (Patricia) Tylka of Lorain, Esther Tylka of Elyria, JoAnn (James) Kurowski of Elyria and Jane (Robert) Follmer of Westerville, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister Elizabeth (Stanley) Wolak of Lorain and brothers Leo Jaworski and Joseph (Madge) Jaworski, all of Mt Pleasant, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter J. Tylka in 2002, parents Andrew and Joan Jaworski (nee Siemianowska), sisters Irene Rafacz and Helen Kulnieszewski and brothers Walter and Bruno Jaworski.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10-11am at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Robert J. Glepko, pastor of Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Lorain, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
