Margaret Salasovich, 81, Loved Helping Others
Margaret Salasovich (nee Stelmack), age 81, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday August 8, 2012.
She was born in Lorain on September 7, 1930 and remained a life-long resident of the city.
Marge was a long-time parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and formerly served as a volunteer at both St. Joseph and Lorain Community Hospitals.
She is survived by her sister Martha Crenchaw residing in Urbana, Illinois along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Salasovich was preceded in death by her husband Edward in 2003, by her parents Peter and Elizabeth (nee Suleski) Stelmack, and by her brother Gracian in 2005.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m.in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel; a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Avenue. The Reverend Robert Glepko, Pastor of the parish will officiate.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Memorials are encouraged to either Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society.
