Sarah K. Wright, 88, Loved by Many

Photo of Sarah K.  Wright Sarah K. "Sally" Wright, 88, (nee Montgomery) of Lorain passed away early Saturday morning, August 18, 2012 at the Huntington Woods Health & Rehabilitation Center in Westlake following a long illness.

Mrs. Wright was born in Belfast, Ireland on April 2, 1924, the daughter of the late James and Wilhelmina (nee McBride) Montgomery. She was a graduate of Bedford College in Belfast.

Moving to The United States 65 years ago, she began her working career at Neiding Insurance as a secretary. She also worked at the former Lorain Telephone Co., Saddle Inn and Paul Aquilla's Market.

She was a member of Heritage Presbyterian Church in Amherst. She was also a member of the Canadian Legion Drill Team.

Mrs. Wright enjoyed golf, being a Cleveland Indians Fan, and especially her family and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed many trips back to Ireland to visit her family and friends there.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Allister M. Wright, sons Colin (Cindy) Wright, Glenn (Sabine) Wright, Craig (Joanne) Wright all of Lorain, Don (Sharon) McCormick of San Diego, CA, grandchildren: Cammie Loy, Allison Wright, Addyson Wright, Brittany Bobkovich, Darrell Wright, Iain Wright, Joshua Bobkovich, Alexander Wright, Colin Wright, great grandchildren, Anna Marie Loy, Audrey Loy, Marissa Wright, Bianca Kolcun, sister Joan Hill, brother James "Jim" Montgomery both of Northern Ireland and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Shelley W. Wright, sisters, Cis Montgomery, Kate Thompson, Mary Watters, Meta Boomer, Ina Lusk, Violet Montgomery, brothers, Andrew Montgomery and Daniel Montgomery.

Friends may call on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the Heritage Presbyterian Church, 515 N. Leavitt Road, Amherst, OH, at 11:00 am with Rev. Adrienne Lloyd, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 834, Amherst, OH 44001.
