Frank G. Yuricich, 84, US Army Veteran & Avid Golfer

Photo of Frank G.  Yuricich Frank G. “Hammer” Yuricich, 84, of Lorain, died Tuesday August 21, 2012 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain.

Frank was born April 2, 1928 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

He served with the US Army as a PFC in Germany during the Korean War.

Frank worked at US Steel in Lorain as a Pipefitter for 42 years retiring in 1986.

He was a member of the Church of St. Peter, Croatian Club, IAV Post #1 and Slovak Club, all of Lorain.

Frank enjoyed traveling, bowling and golf and had three holes-in-one.

He is survived by his wife Ann “Cookie” Yuricich (nee Kurjan), brothers Joe (Marjorie) Yuricich of Lorain and Richard (Lorna) Yuricich of Cape Cod, MA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony & Anna Yuricich (nee Plesivac), sisters Rose Jancar and Geraldine Ebenschweller and brother Matthew Yuricich.

Private family graveside services will be held. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain, will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
