Gerald A. Muskiewicz, 77

He was born August 21, 1935 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Gerald served with the US Army during the Korean War as an SP2. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Occupation Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
Gerald worked at the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant in the Paint Department for 37 years retiring in 1995.
He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Lorain. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to work in the garden, fish and hunt.
He is survived by his children Keith (Marilyn) Muskiewicz of Elyria, Gerald (Kim) Muskiewicz, Gary Muskiewicz and Kevin (Tammy) Muskiewicz all of Lorain, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise Sissy Muskiewicz in 2002, parents Stanley and Mary Muskiewicz (nee Gabor), brother Ed Muskovich and sister Joyce Deering.
The family will receive friends Friday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 2143 Homewood Dr, Lorain. The Rev. John Retar, pastor, will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
