Virginia L. Potter, 80, Enjoyed Being a Fashion-ista & Spending Time with Her Family

Photo of Virginia L. Potter Virginia L. Potter, 80, (nee Cotcamp) of Avon Lake passed away, peacefully, on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Huntington Woods Health and Rehabilitation Center in Westlake.

Mrs. Potter was born in Campbell County, Kentucky on November 1, 1931, the daughter of the late Howard and Mayme L. (nee Leslie) Cotcamp. She was a graduate of the Newport High School in Newport, Kentucky.

She worked as a sales clerk at Higbee's in Elyria, until 1975. She was a "fashion-ista," greatly enjoying shopping for fashions to dress well and look sharp. The joy of her life was being with the family that she loved so much.

Mrs. Potter is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wayne R. Potter, daughter, Debra L. (Kenneth) Elliott of Aurora, granddaughter Sandra (Michael) Keckan of Streetsboro, great grandson Benjamin E. Keckan, brothers Kenneth (Sandra) Cotcamp of Menifee Valley, CA, Roy A (Mariel) Cotcamp of Villa Hills, KY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Jennifer L. Elliott.

Friends may call on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 4-6 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.

Funeral services will be on Monday August 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Horak officiating.

Burial will be in the Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
