Angeline M. Grayson, 91, Loving Mother & Grandmother
She was born May 10, 1921 in Lorain, OH and was a graduate of the Lorain High School class of 1939B.
Mrs. Grayson was a lifelong parishioner of SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Lorain, where she was active in the Ladies Guild, as well as the Slovenian Women’s Union of America.
In her free time, Mrs. Grayson enjoyed cooking and cake decorating, painting, and spending time with family and friends. She was also an avid fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
She is survived by her sons Robert of Los Alamitos, California and William of Columbus, and grandson Jim of Stanford, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edley H. Grayson on August 23, 2000, parents Andrew and Agnes Tomazin (nee Petrasic), sisters Agnes Drstvensek, Anne Tomsic, and Mary Safran, and brothers Frank Tomazin, Andrew Tomazin, Rudy Tomazin, John Tomazin, and Michael Matijasic.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Dr., Lorain. The Rev. Edward Luca, pastor emeritus of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Sheffield Village, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
The family encourages memorial contributions to either St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish or to the charity or organization of the donor’s own choosing.
