Ruth A. Bach, 61, Enjoyed Cooking & Making Jewelery

Ruth A. Bach age 61 of Oberlin, formerly of Lorain, died Friday September 21, 2012 at EMH Hospital after a long illness.

She was born June 23, 1951 in Elyria, lived most of her life in Lorain until moving into Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin four years ago.

Ruth was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Lorain, and formerly a member of St. Joseph Church.

Ruth was a graduate of the Ohio School of Culinary Arts and at one time worked in the dietary department of Vermilion Manor Nursing Home.

She was a former Queen Mother of the Red Hat’s Club of Welcome Nursing Home, and enjoyed playing bingo and other games during happy hour at the nursing home. She also enjoyed cooking and making jewelry.

She is survived by sisters Frances Mitchell (nee Johnson) of Lorain, and Geraldine (Ray) Charny of Amherst, and a brother Gilbert Bach Jr. of Kentucky, and a niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents Geraldine (Zocchi) and Gilbert Bach Sr., and a brother Eugene Johnson.

Friends may call Monday from 6 PM till 8 PM at Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home 2920 Broadway, Lorain. Christian Wake Service will be at 7:45 PM. Funeral Mass will be 10 AM Tuesday in St. Mary Church, Lorain. Please meet at the church. Fr. Daniel Divis and Deacon Lou Maldonado will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in South Amherst.
