Glenn E. Duskey, 73, Loving Husband & Father

Photo of Glenn E. Duskey Glenn E. Duskey, 73, of Lorain, died Saturday September 29, 2012 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home in Amherst after a lengthy illness.

He was born October 13, 1938 in Lorain and grew up in Amherst where he attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Marion Steele High School graduating in 1957.

Glenn worked at the General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Elyria for 26 years then moved to the GM Plant in Parma working 4 years until retiring in 1992. He then worked at Topps Grocery Store for 6 years.

Glenn was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain and a member of the American Slovak Club. He enjoyed fishing, attending the speedway, traveling to Las Vegas and casino bus trips. He and his wife had a booth a Jamie’s Flea Market for many years. Glenn enjoyed doing various odd jobs for friends and polishing brass.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Marilyn Duskey (nee Muha), children Sheila (Mike) Babnick of Berea, Corinne (Dan) Stolitza of Valley City and Vanessa Duskey of Lorain and sisters Betty (Bill) Annable of Oberlin and Mary Lou (Frank) Altomare of Walbridge, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Eleanor Duskey (nee Stronsky).

Private family funeral services were held at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Donald Dunson, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Twp, officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
