Veronica Michalski, 92, Loving Family Woman and Avid Cleveland Indians Fan

She was born March 31, 1920 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. Veronica attended Nativity Catholic School and graduated from Lorain High School in 1938.
Veronica was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain.
She was a loving person who took care of her family; an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed baking, crossword puzzles and computer.
She is survived by her children Thomas Michaels and Shirley Michalski, both of Lorain, granddaughter Beth (David) Hardcastle and great grandson Michael James Hardcastle, all of Ann Arbor, Michigan and her dog Maggie. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Leonard in 2011, daughter Janice in 1991, parents Frank and Agnes Majka (nee Kaczor), sisters Mary Krontz, Anna Januszeski, Victoria Solak, Carolyn Sklarek and Josephine Fashing and brother Albert Majka.
The family will receive friends Thursday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1454 Lexington Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Robert J. Glepko, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of Kingston of Vermilion for the care they’ve shown their mother the past year.
