Calixto Ramos, 57, Loving Father & Grandfather
Calixto “Cano” Ramos, 57 of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in Ohio State Medical Center, Columbus following a lengthy illness.
He was born August 14, 1955 in Lares, Puerto Rico. He came to Lorain in 1969. Cano attended Whittier and Southview High School. He enjoyed working on cars and helping friends. Cano loved his family especially being with his grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his sons Calixto, II and Jimmy Joe (Jenny) Ramos both of Lorain; daughter Ruby Ramos of Elyria; brothers Juan D. and Jose Ramos both of Lares; sisters Eduvina, Maximina and Rosa Ramos all of Lares; grandchildren Calixto A., Nashalie, Alexavier, Ailanis and Leia.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ignacio Ramos Valentin and Victoria Torres Aponte; brothers Wilfredo and Gilberto Ramos and a sister Josepha Ramos.
His family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 6 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164. His funeral and burial will be in Lares.
