German B. Lopez, 83, Loved Gardening & Carpentry

He was born June 12, 1929 in Lares, Puerto Rico. German lived in Berlin Heights for 2 years before moving to Lorain in 1966. He retired form Lorain Ford Assembly Plant in 1995. He worked there for 28 Years.
German was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain and the United Auto Workers Local 425 Lorain. He enjoyed his vegetable and flower gardens. He liked to maintain his home and was good at carpentry.
Among the survivors are his daughters Mirta Beltran of Lares, Rosa Beltran of Belgium, Nilsa Beltran of Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Lucy Beltran of Camuy, Puerto Rico; brother German Beltran of Millville, New Jersey; sisters Aurea Beltran of Arecibo, Puerto Rico and Ana Beltran of Bayamon; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
His family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 9 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164, where his funeral will be Tuesday at 9 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
