Celedonia Luna , 89, Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother

Photo of Celedonia  Luna Celedonia Colon Luna, 89, of Lorain went home with the Lord Saturday, October 20, 2012 in New Life hospice center of Saint Joseph, Lorain following an lengthy illness.

Celedonia was born October 13, 1924 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 2002. Celedonia was a member of The Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostal Asamblea de Dios, Lorain. She was a devoted Christian housewife. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Celedonia enjoyed gardening and singing songs of praise. She was a prayer warrior.

She will be dearly missed by her devoted husband of 68 years Eduardo Colon of Lorain, daughters Lydia Gonzalez, Berna Rodriguez, Carmen Santiago, Teresa Rodriguez, Gladys Sosa, Ninta Nunez and Minerva Salas all of Lorain, Juana Roman and Margarita Lopez both of Chicago; sons Isidoro Colon of San Lorenzo and Samuel Colon of Lorain; sister Santa Oquendo of Chicago 46 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Victorio and Josefa (nee Martinez) Luna; daughter Titi Prado and her sisters Fela Luna and Genara Luna.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM and Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM in Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostal Asamblea de Dios, 301 West 22nd Street, Lorain. Her funeral service will be Thursday at 10 AM in the church. Reverend Luis Cintron, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
