Ann F. Yuricich, 76, Devoted Wife & Aunt

She was born September 17, 1936 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Cookie graduated from St. Mary High School in 1954 and worked in the ticket booth at the Lorain Palace Theater. She then worked as a clerk for Columbia Gas for 30 years retiring in 1984. Later, she worked at Lorain Business Products for 8 years until January 1997.
Cookie was a member of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain. She was an avid bowler and participated in many leagues at Rebman Recreation, Aquamarine Lanes and Broadway Lanes. Cookie enjoyed bingo, traveling, gardening, reading and sewing.
She is survived by her sister Mildred (John) Bereznay of Lorain, brothers John Kurjan of Vermilion and Steve (Fran) Kurjan, Jr of Lorain and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank G. Hammer Yuricich on August 21, 2012, parents Steve and Mary Kurjan (nee Ostrognaj) and sisters Theresa Skoda and Katherine Velleff.
Private family funeral services will be held. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor of the Church of St. Peter in Lorain, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
