Esteban D�vila, 93, Devoted Husband & Loving Grandfather

He was born March 5, 1919 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. He came to Lorain with his spouse in 1953.
Esteban retired in 1983 form General Motors, Elyria Assembly Plant. He worked there for 32 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel. Esteban was a Cursillista, member of a weekly Prayer Group and playing the congas in the Church Choir. Esteban was a devoted husband and loving grandfather. He loved fishing, dominoes, and meticulously maintained a large garden.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margarita Dávila; sons William, Gerardo, Roberto, Santo, and Ricardo Dávila, all of Lorain, Esteban Dávila, Jr, of LaGrange, KY, Nelson Dávila of Lincoln, VA and Angel Dávila of Houston TX; daughters Lillian Barretto and Linda Dávila both of Lorain, María García of LaPorte, IN and Grisel Porrata of Norfolk, VA; 35 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grand-children; 5 brothers; 2 sisters and multiple nieces, nephews and large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Euladio Dávila and Gertrudes García; sisters Eulalia, Ana, and Carmen Dávila; brothers Pedero, Ramiro, Plácido, Salvador and Esteban Dávila.
His family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 8 at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 9:30 AM in the church. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
