Mary E. Belcheff, 98, Loving Wife & Aunt

She was born in Lorain on July 31, 1914 and had been a resident of Elyria Township since 1942.

Mrs. Belcheff had formerly been employed as the manager of Miraldi’s Restaurant.

She was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township and also was a member of the choir there. In her free time she enjoyed collecting antiques.

Mary is survived by her sister-in-law Connie Oleksa also of Elyria Township , by her niece Michelle (Charlie) Birkline of Amherst, and nephew Michael Oleksa (Kimberly) of Elyria . She also leaves three great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis in 1994, by her parents Michael and Ann (nee Petrick) Oleksa, and by her brother Michael.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue , Lorain . Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 North Ridge Rd. , Elyria . The Reverend Donald Dunson, Pastor of the parish will officiate.

Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery .

The family suggests memorials to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
