Vivian E. Higgins, 86, Loving Wife & Family Woman

Vivian was born in Lorain on June 29, 1926 and had been a resident of the Lorain County area her entire life. Vivian graduated as class treasurer of Lorain High School, class of 1944B. Vivian retired from Elyria Savings and Trust Bank as Vice President in 1985. Vivian enjoyed crocheting, reading, watching old movies, traveling the world with her husband, and spending time with her family.
Vivian is survived by her sister Magdalene (Maggie) DiFilippo of Lorain, nephews Rev. James H. DiFilippo (Jean) of Athens, Ohio, Arthur DiFilippo (Karen) of Summerville, SC, Kenneth DiFilippo (Tamala) North Ridgeville, Ohio. Nieces Karen Koleszar (Steve) of Grafton, Ohio, Carol DiFilippo of Avon, Ohio, Antoinette (Toni) DiFilippo of Lorain, Ohio, Mary DiFilippo of Lorain, Ohio, Diane (Dee Dee) Shullick (Terry) of Lorain, Ohio. Grandchildren Karen Lambert (Coy) of Boston, Timothy Coy Jr, (Krista) of Lorain, Ohio, Annie Edwards (Glenn) of South Amherst, Ohio, Charlotte Tache of South Amherst, Ohio, Joseph Coy of Avon Lake, Ohio. In addition to, five great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren, and ten great nieces/nephews, and three great, great nieces/nephews.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William I. Higgins in 2004, her parents Frank and Helen (nee Orosz), her daughter Kathleen, and son-in-law Timothy Coy Sr.
Friends may call on Monday December 17, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. James H. DiFilippo, her nephew, officiating.
Burial will be in The Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
