Luis F. Figueroa, 65, Missionary
Luis F. Figueroa, age 65 of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on Monday February 13, 2012 after a brief illness.
He was born February 7, 1947 in Humacao, Puerto, Rico, and moved to Lorain in 1991.
He studied at Bayamon Puerto Rico Bible Institute and Christian Tabernacle Bible Institute.
Mr. Figueroa worked at the Ford assembly plant in Lorain for 14 years, and traveled as a missionary to the Dominican Republic and twice to Ecuador, South America.
He was a member of Tabernaculo Christiano in Lorain, and Iglesia LaGran Comicion in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Maria Figueroa Sanchez, sons Luis, and David Figueora of Dothan, AL, and George Figueroa of Deltona, FL, daughters Yazmin Figueroa-Millan of Elyria, and Linda Figueroa-Hernandez of Dothan, AL, 12 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson, parents Francisco and Filomena Figueroa of Lorain, brothers Apostle Rev. David, and Benjamin "Jimmy" Figueroa of Lorain, sisters Mary Figueroa_Reyes of Collores, Puerto Rico, Elisa Figueroa-DeJesus of Greensburg, KY, Anna Figueroa-Burgos of Lorain, and Lydia Figueroa-DeJesus of Lorain.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 PM at Christian Tabernacle International Church, 2203 Meister Rd. Lorain, where funeral service will be Thursday at 9:00 AM . Apostle Rev. David Figueroa will officiate.
Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
