Irene Fazio, 84, Dedicated Mother & Grandmother

Irene J. Fazio (nee Zientarski), age 84, of Lorain, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday January 13th following a six week illness.

She was born in Allison, Pennsylvania on October 26, 1928 and had been a long-time resident of Lorain.

A parishioner of the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Irene was the co-owner of Fazio’s Starlite Studio for many years.

Survivors include her son James of Lorain, her daughter Debra (Kevin) Hales of Vermilion, grandchildren Heather, Jason, Stephen, Brenden, and Michael, great grandchildren Chace and Layne, and her brother Steve Zientarski of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2011, by her parents Stephen and Bridgett (nee Goretsky) Zientarski,, by her brother Bernard, and by sisters Gertrude Tominac and Leona Fazio.

Visitation will be Saturday January 26th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of memorial services at 12:00 noon in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Craig Hovanec, pastor of the Church of St. Peter will officiate. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in the Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Fazio Family.
