Angela J. Knight, 90, Loving Homemaker
Angela J. Knight, 90, (nee DeMarco) of Lorain passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Lutheran Home at Concord Reserve in Westlake following a brief illness.
Mrs. Knight was born in Elyria on January 18, 1923, the daughter of the late Antonio and Grace (nee Rifici) DeMarco. She was a graduate of Elyria High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Mary Church in Lorain and was a member of the Marian Guild. She enjoyed baking, cooking, crocheting and word search puzzles.
Mrs. Knight is survived by daughters Patricia (Harry) Hennes of Akron, Barbara (David) Sanborn of Lorain, Grace Knight of Lorain, sons Richard (Cindy) Knight of Dallas, TX, William (Janet) Knight of Canal Winchester, Charles (Lisa) Knight of Erie, PA, Michael (Jan) Knight of Olmsted Falls, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2005, a granddaughter, Leslie Knight in 1970, sisters, Connie Wellborn, Ann Larizza, Rose Pillari, Mary Gannon, brothers, John DeMarco, Tony DeMarco and Tony Foglyano.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 24, 2013, beginning with at 9:00 a.m. prayers at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, 8th & Reid Ave., Lorain at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Daniel O. Divis, pastor of St. Mary Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Amherst Township.
The family suggest that memorial contributions maybe made to the St. Mary Food Pantry, 310 W. 7th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 in her memory.
