Wanda T. Anderson, 101, Loving Mother & Grandmother
Wanda T. Anderson, (nee Trubey), 101 of Lorain passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Wesleyan Village in Elyria following a brief illness.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Wyandot County, Ohio on November 20, 1911, a daughter of the late Carl C. and Eva A. (nee Gibson) Trubey. She moved to the Lorain area in 1924 and graduated from Lorain High School in 1929. She has lived at the Wesleyan Village since 1993. She was a member of the Cornerstone United Methodist Church.
She worked as a Bank Teller at Lorain National Bank. She was a member of the Lorain Sorosis, Lakeland Women's Club, Black River Historical Society, Order of Eastern Stars Queen City Chapter #66, AARP #3318, Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR), United Methodist Women Society, the Rachel Circle, and the Quota Club. She enjoyed being a volunteer at "The Little Store" within Wesleyan Village.
Mrs. Anderson survived by two sons Marsh T. (Madelyn) Anderson of Vermilion, Alan W. (Lynn) Anderson of Amherst, grandchildren, Karen Bradford, Beth Fabanich, Julie Jones, Jason Anderson, Heather Mahlich, Adam Anderson and 15 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Norman W. Anderson in 1991.
Friends may call on Sunday, February 25, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until services at 4:00 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio. The Rev. Evelyn Bonnell, pastor emeritus of Cornerstone United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be private.
