Mary L. Mihalik, 85, Will be Deeply Missed

Photo of Mary L. Mihalik Mary L. Mihalik (née Mangan) 85 of Lorain passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain.

She was born December 26, 1927 in Lorain and was a life long resident. She graduated from Lorain High School. Mrs. Mihalik worked as an seamstress for Weiteses Clothing and Saint Joseph Hospital. She also worked at the soda fountain in National Pharmacy all formerly of Lorain.

Mary was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Lorain. She enjoyed spending time with her three great grandchildren, bingo, word search, making sock hats for school and needy children and visiting her family in San Diego, California.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter Deborah (Glenn) Holcomb of Lorain; sisters Georgene (Stan) Zane of San Diego and Catherine (Ronald) Sand of Elyria; brother Gerald (Judith) Mangan of San Diego; grandchildren Brian, Julie and Greg Holcomb all of Lorain; great grandchildren Brandon and Carissa Holcomb and Zoe Page all of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Mihalik in 1976; her parents John L. and Mary Ann (née Falkowski) Mangan.

Her family will receive friends at Mass of Christian Burial, Friday at 10 AM in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 418 West 15th Street, Lorain. Fr. Robert J. Glepko, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

Her family suggests memorial contributions to Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 418 West 15th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44055.
