Rose T. Berstling, 84, Loving Mother & Grandmother

She was born November 20, 1928 in Lorain and had resided at the home of her daughter Rosemarie in Sheffield Lake for the past 2 � years moving from Lorain.
Rose graduated from Brookside High School in Sheffield Village.
During the 1940’s, Rose worked in the cafeteria at US Steel in Lorain where she met her future husband Anthony.
She was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Sheffield Village and the church Altar & Rosary Society. She volunteered with bingo at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Rose enjoyed flower gardening, word search puzzles, dining out, watching soap operas, cooking for the holidays and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Rosemarie Norton (Tom) of Sheffield Lake and Tony Berstling, Jr (Elaine) of Sheffield Village, grandchildren Tom Norton, Jr (Marcie), Amy Hall (Dave), Rick Norton (Melanie), Joy Stout (Jason), Zachary Berstling and Alex Berstling, great grandchildren Madison Hall, Sabrina Norton, Allison Stout, Norman Stout, Dylan Stout, Sawyer Norton and Jenna Hall, brother Steve Chozinski (Pat) of Sheffield Village, sisters Mary Tesmer (George) of Avon and Louise Nichols of Sheffield Village and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Anthony T. Big Tony Berstling, Sr in 2009, daughter Carol Berstling in 1990, parents Louise and Sophie Chozinski (nee Nowobilska), sister Margaret Zellers and brother John Chozinske.
The family will receive friends Thursday 2-6 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain where the St. Teresa Altar & Rosary Society will recite the rosary Thursday at 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 1878 Abbe Rd, Sheffield Village. The Rev. Edward Smith, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Teresa Cemetery.
