Karin A. Nazar, 63, Enjoyed Cooking, Bird Watching & Traveling

Photo of Karin A. Nazar Karin A. Nazar, 63, of Lorain, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at University Hospital Cleveland following a brief illness.

Ms. Nazar was born in Lorain on November 14, 1949, a daughter of Wasyl “Will” Nazar of Sandusky and the late Rosemarie (Howard) Nazar.

She was a graduate of Admiral King High school. She was an airline stewardess for the former North Central Airlines that is now Delta. She had owned and operated the Sheffield Lake Travel Agency in the 1980's.

She was a high school majorette; a member of the Echoe's and competed in Miss Ohio Beauty Pageant. She also was a director with Don-ette Baton and Musical Corp. In the late 1980's she moved to Folly Beach, S.C. and began a career as an Executive Chef at the Starfish Grill and then the Folly Beach Crab Shack. She enjoyed helping others in need, cooking, bird watching, traveling, and enjoying her life to the fullest.

Karin is survived by financee Robert L. Kendrick of Crescent City, Fla, her father, a brother Conrad H. Nazar of Lorain and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on May 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Lorain, OH 44055 with Rev. Steven Paliwoda, pastor, officiating. Interment will be later in Calvary Cemetery.
