Patricia A. Markovich, 77, Loved Spending Time With Grandchildren

Photo of Patricia A. Markovich Patricia A. Markovich, 77, (nee Harding) passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Elmcroft of Lorain Senior Community, peacefully following a long illness.

Mrs. Markovich was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on May 27, 1936, the daughter of the late William R. and Gladys G (nee Gallatin) Harding. She was a graduate of North Union High School in Uniontown and held an associate's degree in Business from Lorain Business College.

She was retired from Lorain County C.S.E.A. following 10 years of service.

Mrs. Markovich was an active member of the Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church where she was affectionately known as the "ticket lady." She was a member of the Light House Ladies, Sunrisers, she was a Sunday school teacher and was always willing to help with all church functions.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed collecting owl figurines and watching the food network on TV. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler's fan.

Mrs. Markovich is survived by two sons, Doug (Sue) Markovich of Brookpark, Dave (Julie) Markovich of South Amherst, grandchildren Jennifer, Lori, Brad, and Ben, brother William Harding of Verona, NY, sisters Eileen Haney of S. Weymouth, Mass, Lee L. Swift of Uniontown, PA, Nancy (Mark) Soom of Naples. FL and many nephews and nieces. She will greatly be missed by her special friend, almost like a sister: Karen Motter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Connie Hunter, brother James Harding and her ex-husband James Markovich.

Friends may call on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Road, Lorain from 2-4 p.m. At 4:00 p.m., a light dinner will be provided by the ladies of the church in the fellowship hall celebrating Pat's life and at 6:00 p.m. a Memorial Service will be held in the sanctuary with Chaplain Chuck Boals, officiating.

Burial will be private.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053.
