Roger L. Roberts, 48, Enjoyed Playing Guitar and Reading
Roger L. Roberts, 48 of Lorain passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013 at his home unexpectedly.
He was born in, Summersville, WV, on September 8, 1964 to the late David A. Roberts and Barbara C. (nee Metz) Permelia of Avon Lake. He has lived in the northern Ohio area most of his life. He was a 1982 graduate of Vermilion High School.
Mr. Roberts was a skilled construction worker assisting several area contractors.
He enjoyed playing his guitar, reading and was currently writing a series of novels he had hoped to publish soon.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his son Jason M. Longwell of Elyria, his mother, brother Jeffrey D. (Donna) Roberts of St. Petersburg, Fl, maternal grandmother Jean Metz of Lorain, uncles Jerry (Nancy) Metz of Parkersburg, WV, Larry (Catherine) Metz of Cowen, WV, aunt Sue (Bill) Lewis of Cowen, WV, several other aunts and uncles and his niece Jessica Roberts of St. Petersburg.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Francis and Ruth (nee Bender) Roberts, maternal great grandparents Junie and Helen Bennet, uncles Billy Joe Roberts and Danny Metz.
Friends may call on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Funeral services will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m.
Burial will be private.
