Glen Haponek, 63, Enjoyed Golfing

He was born May 23, 1950 in Lorain. Glen graduated from Lorain High School in 1968. He attended Lorain County Community College and the Ohio University. He graduated with a BA in Mechanical Engineering from Cleveland State University.
Glen worked as an engineer for the Tactical Air Lift Division of Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins for 26 years. He traveled the world working on C-130 aircraft in the TCG Technical Area. Upon Glen’s retirement the United Stated Flag flown at the Main Gate of Robin A. F. B. and one that was flown in a MC-130 E was presented to him in recognition for his dedicated service to the U. S. Government and its people as a civilian. In his spare time Glen enjoyed golfing, making gold jewelry and his nine cats.
He is survived by his former wife and companion Donna (née Eadie) Haponek and stepson Eric Miltner of Warner Robins; brothers Eugene K. Kenny (Patricia) Haponek of Lorain and Dane A. Haponek of North Ridgeville; sister Jean A (Rob) Neuhart of Huber Heights, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews.
Glen was preceded in death by his Parents Eugene S. in 2010 and Mildred (née Prosenko) Haponek in 2011.
A graveside interment service will be Friday at 1:00 PM in Calvary Cemetery, 555 North Ridge Road East, Lorain Ohio. Rev. Father John C. Retar, Pastor of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, Lorain will officiate.
