Albert A. Dargo, 81, U.S. Air Force Veteran

He was born July 25th 1931 in Lorain and moved to Avon in 1967. Al graduated from Clearview High School in 1950. He retired as a process operator from BF Goodrich in Avon Lake in 1993 where he worked for 38 years. He served in the US Airforce during the Korean Conflict as a radio mechanic.
Al enjoyed working in his vegetable and flower gardens. He especially enjoyed picking apples and peaches with his family.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Joan M. Dargo (nee Toth) of Avon; sons John Dargo of Lorain, James (YeVonne) Dargo of Sheffield Lake; daughters Patt (Ron) Wilder and Christine Dargo both of Sheffield Village, Donna (Jeff) Dobos and Mary (Karl) Satorius both of Avon, and Victoria (Rocky) Wells of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Brandon Dargo, Heather (Eric) Rost, Maria and Julia Dobos, Victor and Rachel Wells, Adam and Sarah Satorius; sisters Margaret Saegert of Lorian and Betty Radachowsky of Danbury, CT; brother Cornel Gerald Dargo of Durham, NC and many nieces and nephews.
Al was preceded in death by his parents Stephan and Elizabeth (nee Sipos) Dargo and infant son Joseph Dargo.
His family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00pm in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, where his funeral service will be Friday at 11:00am. Rev. Father Frank P. Kosem will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon, where the American Legion Post 211 Avon Lake will conduct military honors.
