Dolores Martinez, 86, Enjoyed Contributing to Charity and Collecting Bells
Dolores �Lola� Martinez, 86, of Lorain passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain, following a brief illness.
She was born September 23, 1926 in Galion, Ohio. Lola came to Lorain in 1950. She was a beloved mother and homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. Lola liked to contribute to charities. She enjoyed collecting bells.
Lola will be dearly missed by her daughter Theresa (Frank) Hernandez of Lorain; sons Ted Martinez, Jr., Vincent Martinez, Jesse Martinez all of Lorain and Pablo Martinez of Falfurrias, Texas; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband Teodulo Martinez in 1979; parents Bonisacio and Jesse (n�e Negrette) Martinez; sons Bill Segura and Jos� Beccra sister Louise Meza; brothers John, Andy, Pete and Henry Martinez.
Her family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 8 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Her family will also receive friends Tuesday from 8:30 until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 Am in Sacred Heart Chapel 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Her burial will follow Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
