Garnet L. Phillabaum, 80, Will be Dearly Missed

Photo of Garnet L. Phillabaum Garnet L. Phillabaum, 80, (nee Moore) of Sheffield Village, formerly of Middletown passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Anchor Lodge Retirement Village in Lorain following a long illness.

Mrs. Phillabaum was born in Garrison, KY on February 6, 1933, the daughter of the late Frank and Cora M (nee Bush) Moore. She was a graduate of the school of cosmetology in Middletown and was a beautician for more than 30 years.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Moose Auxiliary, and the Eagles Auxiliary.

Mrs. Phillabaum is survived by sisters, Patricia A (Fred) Rosso of Lorain, Betty L Lawhorn of Sheffield Village; Carla S. (Charles) Frizzell of Lorain, seven stepchildren and several loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter E. (Ned) Phillabaum on July 9, 2013, sisters Carrie M Beard, Faye M Webb, Helen L Horton, and Pina Finlayson.

Friends may call on Wednesday evening, July 24, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, July 25,2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Germantown Union Cemetery, Germantown, Ohio.
