Karen Marie Sultzbaugh, 58, Enjoyed Spending Time with Grandchildren

She was born in Lorain on September 15, 1954 and had been a resident of Lorain for most of her life. Karen was a 1973 graduate of Lorain High School.
She attended the Church of the Redeemer in Lorain and had been employed for ten years as a bookkeeper at the Colorado Avenue Discount Drug Mart store.
In her free time Karen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include sons Jason S. Graves of Lorain, and Jeremy M. Graves of Elyria, daughter Angela M. Graves of Lorain, foster-son David Plavic of Lorain, grandchildren Lily, Kaelynn, Jerome, and Michael, parents Sid and Dolores (nee Doslak) Sultzbaugh of Lorain, brothers Bob Sultzbaugh (Karen) of Lorain, and Jeff Sultzbaugh (Kathy) of Collins. In addition, she leaves her beloved cat Izzy and long-time friend George Roig.
Karen was preceded in death by her grandson Jayden T. Graves in 2003.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Reverend Mary Carson, Pastor of the Church of the Redeemer officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
