Ana Ramirez, 77, Enjoyed Crocheting and Embroidering

She was born December 7, 1935 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. She initially came to Lorain in 1958. She moved to Fajardo, Puerto Rico 1974 and returned to Lorain in 2000.
Ana retired as a Nurse Aid from Avon Oaks Nursing Home in Avon in 1974. She worked there for 9 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, telenovelas, her dog Snoopy and spoiling her grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her sons Ricardo (Lupe) Padilla, Jr. of Miami, Florida and Orlando Ramirez of Lorain; daughters Daisy (Dr. Jose Cintron) Ramirez of Luquillo, Puerto Rico and Marisel (Frank) Martinez of Lorain; 9 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Rafael Ramirez in 2000; her parents Gil Matos and Eleuteria Centeno; brothers Pedro, Angel, Rafael and Gito Matos and her sister Marina Leon.
Her family will receive friends Friday from 3 to 8 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio. Visitation will also be Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
