Harriet L. Siss, 84, Enjoyed Traveling
Harriet L. Siss (nee Burdue), 84, of Lorain, died Tuesday August 20, 2013 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with Parkinsons Disease.
She was born November 3, 1928 in Norwalk and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Harriet graduated from Clyde High School in 1946 where she served as class secretary-treasurer.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and flowers.
She is survived by her children George H. Siss III (Debbie) Jerry L. Siss , Bill Siss (fiancé Cathy) all of Lorain and Karen Carney (Gregg) of North Olmsted, daughter-in-law Joyce Guardado of Lorain, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and brothers Donald, Bob and Wayne Burdue. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years George H. Siss in 2005 and parents Frank& Dorothy Burdue (nee Burgess).
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Private family graveside funeral services will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
