Pastor Jonathan Sierra, 33 of Lorain went home to be with the Lord this past Thursday, August 22, 2013.
He was born November 25, 1979 in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He came to Lorain from Dorado, Puerto Rico in January of 2012.
He pastored the Dorado church for three years and was transferred to Lorain to pastor at La Iglesia de Dios, Inc.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Leynalee Fonseca- Rodriguez, of Lorain, sons Miguel A. Sierra-Fonseca and Jonathan Sierra-Fonseca both of Lorain; parents Luis Miguel Sierra-Cabrera and Zenaida Alejandro-Rodriguez of Juncos, Puerto Rico; brothers Edgar Alejandro and Israel Sierra-Alejandro both of Juncos; father and mother in-law Luis A. Fonseca-Perez and Olga Rodriguez-Ruiz of Las Piedras, Puerto Rico.
His family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until time of his funeral service at 7 PM in La Iglesia de Dios, Inc., 300 East 28th Street (E. 28th St. and Elyria Ave. ) Lorain. Rev. Roberto Espada presbyter of District D of Youngstown will officiate. Burial will be in El Caimito del Mango Cemetery, in Juncos.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to offset burial expenses in Puerto Rico.
