Evelyn Grills, 101, Will be Deeply Missed
Evelyn Grills, 101, (nee Brown) of Loganville, GA formerly of Lorain passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the New London Health Care Center in Snellville, GA following a long illness.Mrs. Grills was born in Lorain on May 3, 1912, the daughter of the late Frank Brown and Hattie (nee Roth) Brown Schaffer. She was a graduate of Lorain High School Class of 1930B.
She was a member of the Cornerstone United Methodist Church, formerly First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Grills had worked at the former Bond Clothing Store and retired from the Lorain Board of Education.
She was a member of the A.A.R.P. and had been active with the Animal Friendship Protective League of Lorain County.
Mrs. Grills is survived by her daughters Patricia Brown of Colorado Springs, CO, Joanne Milovich of Loganville, GA, grandsons Brian Brown, Corey Brown, Mark Milovich and three great grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Grills in 1977, her step father Howard Schaffer, and a sister Margaret Brown.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain with Rev. Evelyn Bonnell, officiating.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League of Lorain County, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd Elyria, OH 44035 in her memory.
