Linda L. Martin, 70, Enjoyed Quilting and Traveling

Photo of Linda L. Martin Linda L. Martin, 70, (nee Bruhn) of Lorain passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Mercy-New Life Hospice of St. Joseph following a long illness.

Mrs. Martin was born in Lorain on September 13, 1943, the daughter of the late Clayton A. Bruhn and Jean E. (nee Hunter) Bruhn Reed. Mrs. Martin was a graduate of Marion L.Steele High School, class of 1961, and of St. Joseph School of Nursing, class of 1963. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain.

She worked as an LPN at Amherst Hospital for 42 years until her retirement in 2009. She enjoyed quilting, traveling, arts and crafts.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband of 47 years John Martin, daughter Barbra Martin, of Lakewood, brothers; Michael (Sue Ellen) Bruhn of Vermilion and Tommy Bruhn of Avon.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by a brother, Clayton "Chip" Bruhn and a sister, Sandra Bruhn.

Memorial Services will be on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 603 Washington Ave., Lorain at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jimmy Madsen, pastor , officiating.

The Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 West 5th Street, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
