Lester A. Woolf, 62, Enjoyed Working on Cars

Photo of Lester A. Woolf Lester A. Woolf, 62, of Lorain passed away at his home surrounded by his family Saturday, November 9, 2013 after his 3 year battle with lung cancer.

Lester was born on April 7, 1951 in Elyria. Lester was employed at the Morning Journal for 28 years in the pressroom until his retirement in 2009.

Lester enjoyed playing guitar, camping, working on cars, particularly his 1970 Torino GT and a 1991 Mustang. He loved spending time with his children and family.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 4 years Jennifer J. Woolf (née Moore); sons Allen (Holly Jo) Woolf of Lorain and Tim (Tammy) Woolf of Amherst; daughter Tina Edmonson of Lorain; step children Nathan Bellamy of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and Stephen Bellamy of Lorain; his former wife Cheryl Brown (née Logsdon); grandchildren Brandon Manning, Joey Woolf, Timothy Woolf, Chris Woolf, Emily Woolf, Savannah Edmonson, D. J. Edmonson and a granddaughter on the way; brothers Roger Woolf of Elyria and Gregg Woolf of Lorain, sisters Sherrill Callahan of Sweetwater Tennessee, and Nancy black of Youngstown.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard in 1993 and Dorothy (Née McElhaney) Woolf in 2000; sister Ann Jackson in 1999; and a brother John Woolf in 2005.

A memorial service will be planned.
