Florence M. Glading, 94, Enjoyed Traveling

Florence M. Glading, 94, (nee Keisler) of Vermilion passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Mercy-New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain.

Mrs. Glading was born in Brownhelm Twp on August 10, 1919, the daughter of the late Otto and Amanda Keisler and was a life long resident of Lorain. She was homemaker.

She was a dedicated life member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was Worthy Matron of Queen City Chapter # 66 in 1970. She was then secretary for 11 years. She was also Grand Page and Deputy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of Ohio.

Mrs. Glading was past president of the Lorain Elks Emblem Club # 320 and served as State President of the Ohio Association of Emblem Clubs. She was Supreme Marshal for the Past Supreme President of America.

She and her late husband Lester, enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in their motor home.

Mrs. Glading is survived by her son, Robert Glading of Vermilion, granddaughters Erin Oleen, Dr. Jodi Johnson-Glading, Amanda Strauser, great grandchildren, Hayden, Cole, Casey, Max, Lincoln and Katelyn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Lester Glading on April 14, 1993, brothers Carl Keisler, Elmer Keisler, Norman Keisler, Edward Keisler and a sister Edna Emmerich.

Friends may call on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 6-8 PM. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. An Order of Eastern Star Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.

A Celebration of her Life will be Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in the funeral home at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Amherst Township.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Mercy-New Life Hospice, c/o Mercy Foundation, 3600 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053 in her memory.
