Nicholas S. Torres, 23, Had a Passion for His Music

Photo of Nicholas S. Torres Nicholas S. “Nick” Torres, 23, of Lorain passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Mercy Regional Medical Center Lorain, Ohio.

Nick was born November 5, 1990, in El Paso, Texas. He was raised and lived in Lorain with his grandparents.

Nick graduated from Southview High School and was currently enrolled at Lorain Community College. Some of his favorite activities included playing basketball for Sacred Heart Chapel, baseball, and he had a passion for his music.

Nick was a loving father to his two daughters and he loved his family.
Nick was survived by his daughters Bryanna and Aurea Torres, both of Lorain. His father Frank Torres and Theres Torres. Mother Tanya Martin of California. Grandparents Felix and Aurea Torres. Special Titi Milagros “Milly” Duhe. Brother Josh Martin of California. Sisters Valeria Long of North Carolina and Tara Diaz of California. Madison Torres, and LaRay Vaquera of Lorain, Ohio. Alexis Martin of California. Deeply missed by other loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Nick was preceded in death by his uncles Felix Torres Jr., and Bryan Duhe.

His family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 8 PM in Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain, where Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

Memorial contributions to offset burial expenses may be made to the account of Francis W. Torres at First Federal Savings of Lorain, 2233 East 42nd Street, Lorain Ohio 44055.

Funeral arrangements are by the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain.
